What Ganesha thinks

What My Friend Ganesha And I Think
Just like every year, the arrival of ganesha into the world (to his grandma’s place) was being celebrated with great pomp and joy. I awaited a long queue to greet him and wish my old friend. He beamed with a smile and wished me in return. Just like old days we had a long chat which went on as follows and I thought of putting his views in front of you:
He asked me,” what is it Aditi, Have you also come to get your marks increased for your test or are you wishing to score well in the coming boards!!?” I replied with a sarcastic smile, “what do you think I should choose??!!”, and we ended up laughing in return. I told him that I will handle those tests and he should just enjoy his stay here for a few days.
He couldn’t hear me and asked me to talk loudly saying “With the passage of every year,  my devotees are increasing and I am happy about it. It is nice to know that one can get more laddoos and modaks (he said laughing, and I laughed in return on the joke cracked :P), but with this, the number of decibels  of speakers are also increasing and my ears cannot take it that is why my hearing capacity is decreasing, so it would be great if you talk loudly.” (Trying to sound serious.) As I was talking to him about my daily life the people behind started pushing, waiting for their chance to talk to him, some, trying to fulfill their greedy desires by posing their demands by meeting him. I greeted him again and said that I will talk to him later in the day and wished him good luck with the wish list of people. I then thanked him for a modak that I got there  in the Prasad center, and told him that this was the best part of his visit. We both agreed and had a feast on the modaks given and then I got another punch on my face as someone was trying to grab his share of Prasad. I bid him adieu and wondered on my way back about what ganesha told, suddenly my thought was hindered by a loud blast of cracker, I was shaken to death as it was just near my foot. I went home and got another feast of modaks just out of the frying pan. It was delicious. It would be nice to know that our house was right between two sarvajanik mandaps (the place where ganesha stays in public, during these days :P :D) and in the evening it was great to hear a fusion of two devotional songs. If I was in my bedroom I heard one song and if I were in my drawing room there was another one!! Great isn’t it!!! Imagine the condition in between!!! And do not think I am joking. It is a very true fact!! Each mandap in competition with another, trying to be better than the other one.
So people,
I request you, especially the ones incharge of this mandap committee, to  lower the decibels of the speaker  and try to lessen the pollution caused by reducing the amount of fireworks we use, so that our prayers or demands are heard by ganesha!!!! Otherwise ganesha will end up becoming deaf and will hear none….
